Agreed…this is the pond West of the RR bridge…and yes it is private property as in the last several weeks the owner has erected some serious fencing to keep people out. I e-mailed him and he stated that he was working on getting a list of peoples names to be able to access the property through the neighborhood but with fencing like is there now no one will be able to pass through to go to the river below. Too bad too as this was my favorite fishing spot but I guess too many people were parking and leaving their trash down at the river.
The very first guess was correct. It is the rock quarry behind Granite Pool. Does anyone have any photos from back in the day when folks would swim in the quarry? I’ll do another for next week or if anyone has one please send it in.
Hmmm. Granite rock quarry?
When you say that it’s not accessible to everyone, does that mean it is on private property, or in an out-of-the-way place?
Private property. I’ll let a few more people guess before the great reveal.
Is this the pond off of Riverside & just west of the RR bridge?
2nd Dena’s guess: rock quarry beside Granite Pool?
