You don’t need to go to the woods to find them, I saw one in the middle of my street this week. It’s going to be a lot of them out this year.
And you know you can hunt them in Richmond City but does only and only with bow and arrow. A cruel way to take a deer.
these deer were probably on their way to my front yard where they have helped themselves to my hostas, roses, phlox and sedum all summer. Grrr!
so that’s where my hostas went!
The deer have been cleaning me out of my tomatoes! That’s never happened before this year!
Because of the drought.
The urban deer population has been increasing in Richmond City for years now, drought or no drought.

We saw 6 on Riverside Dr. a couple of nights ago.
It may be crueler to not kill some of them, with bow or gun, given that the state herd is so big that they will be starving to death this winter. Again.
We’ll be out to stock up on venison in a few more months. :o) Yum!
