Sector 312 Report for June

Good news overall on the crime front in the latest report from Lieutenant John A. O’Kleasky, Jr.

During the month of June 2010, overall crime was down 22% in Sector 312. We reduced Motor Vehicle Thefts from 12 to 4 and there were no reported Burglaries of commercial properties, which is good news! We did however experience an increase in Robbery-Individual, “street robberies” and this upward trend impacted the entire city. There were eight of these types of robberies in the following neighborhoods, Midlothian = 3, Woodland Heights = 3, Westover =1 and one at Huguenot H.S. Arrests have been made in three of these incidents and we expect more to follow.

On the Woodland Heights incidents one arrest is pending and there was an arrest made on the Westover Hills incident.
