I did see this on the news. WRIC I think. If not, WTVR. Not much information at that time.

Apparently he’s not in very good shape…
the water has been quite low for some time, tho there are rapids despite this, and yesterday’s rain probably made it horrible for even rafting..
be safe out there! always let someone know what/where you are doing /going. wear a life vest.. i was once a strong swimmer..and even weak parts of this river took me under.. if it wasnt for friends close by i would have gone down river..
