More Details on Armed Robberies
Details from Lt. John O’Kleaskey including descriptions;
Last night there were two Robberies within minutes of each in the Woodland Heights neighborhood. At this time we believe both crimes were committed by the same two individuals who were armed with a black handgun. We are asking that members of the community to please do their best to pay attention to their surroundings and quickly report suspicious persons that they observe. Please encourage everyone to utilize their exterior lights and look out for one another. This is especially important during the night, when you may be outside for an extended period of time.
*Important note* – in both of the below descriptions, the victims state that a suspect had a ski mask or knit cap, if you observe someone in your neighborhood with this article of clothing during the summer, please give us a call, as this should seem suspicious.
I will have marked police units aggressively patrolling Woodland Heights and the surrounding neighborhoods. We will also have other police resources deployed in the area. We really need your continued help, there are more sets of eyes/ears in the community than police officers I can assign to patrol your neighborhoods, so any information that you observe and report will greatly enhance our efforts.
I know these incidents are upsetting and unfortunate, but please remember that they are not cause for panic, just cause for an increased collective effort (police/community) to work together and apprehend these individuals. The below suspects are looking for “targets of opportunity”, so let’s do our best to reduce their opportunities and harden the “target” (you/neighborhood)!
