Suspicious Alley Activity in Westover Hills
Submitted by a reader;
I just called the police because a man in a maroon ford ranger was in our alley going through our trash cans. My dogs were in the back yard and were barking so I went to see what they were barking at and saw the truck from my back door. I immediately called the police because this is not the first time I have seen this truck in our neighborhood. We live in the 5200 block of King William. I have seen him driving/circling our block in the past few weeks and Monday morning I went for a run around 8:30 am and saw him leaving one alley, crossing King William and driving into the next alley (this was where King William runs into Westover Hills Blvd). He was driving fast and it just seemed suspicious to me, especially since it wasn’t the first time I’d seen him. Unfortunately I didn’t have my phone on me so was unable to call the police. When I got home from my run I told my husband about it and he agreed it seemed odd. I couldn’t believe it when the same truck was in our alley this morning going through our trash!
Anyhow, I just wanted to give you a heads up so you could possibly post the vehicle information so everyone in our neighborhood could be on the lookout. I did not see the driver this morning because I was in my house looking out the back door but when I saw him Monday on my run he looked like a black male.

is this an SUV or a small pick up?
I have seen this vehicle, it is a pick up truck, medium-sized.
There was a guy in a maroon Mazda pickup, which is the same model as the ford that stopped me in my alley a couple weeks ago. He was rummaging through the trash behind the shops on Forest Hill. Could this be the same guy?
I have no way to verify that this guy is the culprit, but I just noticed that our banged up little red wagon is gone! I’m guessing it probably ended up at a metal recycling joint. dang it! It was handy for gardening, and for the annual July 4th Children’s Parade. That’s pretty low.
