Martin’s Pet Food Drive
Saw this on Richmond Daily Beast and since we are pro-pet, pro-SPCA and have a Martin’s thought others would be willing to help out.
Between now and June 19, purchase Companion brand pet food at MARTIN’S (official pet food supplier to the Richmond SPCA), drop it in the store’s collection bin, and MARTIN’S will match your contribution to the SPCA, “bag for bag, box for box and bone for bone.”
Participating locations: Pump Rd., John Rolfe Pkwy., Cary Street, West Broad, Midlothian Trnpk., Brook Rd., Forest Hill Ave., Three Chopt, Boulevard (Colonial Heights)

Went by the Forest Hill outlet tonight and except for a small box of begging strips, the box was empty.
Sad.
They still need a LOT food and by the way, make sure the checker puts a “sold” sticker on the bag at point of sale to make sure it’s matched by Martin’s.
It would be nice if some of these donations made it to the local pounds as well- the SPCA gets a lot of support as it is. Please keep the less popular animal shelters in mind when considering pet donations- there are a lot of great cats and dogs at these locations as well.
