Interested in Printmaking? Head to Manchester

I have just found out about a new group of artist on our side of the river. Details below were pulled from an email received from the Bizarre Market.

Studio Two Three is, amongst other things, a printmaking collective that is now offering memberships to its almost-ready location in Manchester–for $85, you can join and have 24/7 access to plentiful presses, letterpress, drying racks, flat file storage and more. If you don’t feel the need to become a member, you should at least sign up for the email list… there will be fun drawing and printing events for non-members (and non-printmakers) several times a month!

For example, MAY 10 at 7PM, whoever comes to the studio (currently at Plant Zero) will participate in the making of “Richmond is Awesome,” a collaborative handprinted book! Only $5!

More info: “Studio Two Three sees the core of this community arising from the daily operations of its studio space and strives to provide a supportive and stimulating environment for its daily visitors. Studio Two Three enables its renters to make excellent work by providing peer support, access to print skills, and access to quality print facilities. Studio Two Three also works to advance the standing and opportunities of printmakers within the art community by pursuing exhibition opportunities and by creating a network of artists involved in its various endeavors. By providing the means for individual artistic success, Studio Two Three will build an active community of artist-printmakers with productive energy, in turn increasing public exposure to and enjoyment of the printmaking medium.”
