Animal Control Conducts Informational Patrols
Just when the comment thread on our previous post on this subject quieted down, new fodder for the fire. Word on the street is that Richmond Animal Care and Control has been conducting informational patrols in several city parks over the last few weeks and giving warnings about leash and licensing laws. April 1st, the warnings stop and officers will begin to issue tickets in Byrd, Bandy and Forest Hill Parks. So if your dog wants to take a dip in the newly renovated lake, it sounds like you’ll be getting wet too!

They are also trying to put the brakes on the Dog Swim at the lake dedication. All you off-leash haters got your wish!!

Yeah, it’s really a shame that folks have to be so uptight and humorless these days.
What was the point of all the time and effort folks put into rehabbing this lake if not for the enjoyment of the common folk?
