Leaf Pickup Back On
In case you didn’t see the signs it appears that leaf pickup is back on for next week. The city website confirms that Westover Hills/Forest Hill/Woodland Heights leaf pickup will happen between Mar 1, 2010 – Mar 5, 2010. If the past is any indicator this is a sure sign that we will get either a ton of snow or torrential rains on those dates.
Interesting that the signs are new and green.
Wonder what the hidden symbolism is and price tag was.
No new signs over here on King William. It is interesting that they are redoing one of the few streets they managed to hit last time.
I am glad to see that they have switched to the corrugated plastic signs…they are re-usable,sturdier and longer lasting, so they don’t need to be replaced regularly.
Color coding probably translates into less confusion for all.
Interesting signage sidebar…. they’ve ALSO been putting up red and white “street cleaning” signs.
I asked a staffer at DPW today if they were interchangeable and she told me “no”.
My sign has duct tape that says “MON” over the first part of the day. Obviously they aren’t overbuying the signs :)
looks like they put up the signs for nothin’… Huge snow expected Tuesday.
Guess we’ll see if Martin’s can fill Ukrop’s shoes providing milk and bread to the populace.
