Forest Hill Park Lake On a Warm February Day
With the temperatures in the high 50s I grabbed the kid and the camera and we headed down to the newly restored lake. Thank you to all those who worked so hard to make it happen. I hadn’t been down since the work had been completed. Gone are the orange fencing and construction vehicles. Benches and picnic areas have been added, and work is being done to put in lights. There were lots of others taking advantage of the beautiful day.

I was down there Friday and Saturday and the park was just awesome. Lots of folks using the parks in different ways and simply sitting on a bench and sunning–and one group playing Bocce! The project to install new lamps around the lake is nearly complete, as well.
Don’t forget that Nathan Burrell, trails manager, is hosting a big tree planting event this coming Saturday (Feb 27) from 9-1. Meet at the picnic shelter and bring gloves and a shovel!
