SWAT Called to Newell Road

From Richmond Police email:
At 12:51 this morning the Richmond Police Department was called to 1130 Newell Road for a report of a shot fired inside the residence.

Police took a report of an argument that had occurred between two people living in the residence resulting in one person firing a shot inside the structure. When the suspect would not surrender to officers the SWAT team was called to assist.

Richmond Police negotiators and SWAT Team made contact and the suspect, John Oules, 64, of the above address, surrendered without further incident at approximately 3:00 a.m. Oules has been charged with attempted murder.
