Pothole of DOOOOOOM

This monster lives on 8400 block of Cherokee

I will admit that I thought the potholes in our neighborhood were bad until David H. sent in this picture. I agree with his statement “Some streets have potholes. We have a Passage to India.”

Boulevardizen has started the clever website Pothole City that allows us to see all the potholes throughout the city all you have to do is fill out a form and it will show up so far 19 have been reported. Both blogs are well done and I plan to contribute the holes in our hood (the beast above as well) later today to Pothole City. You should also check out Boulevardizen has he often has a scoop on the happenings right across the river.

Beside filling out the form you should also call 3-1-1 and report the hole to the city so that eventually they can fix it up.

I passed that monster this morning and tipped a 40 out the window as I drove past. Pothole, represent.

I love everything about this. Especially Amblus’ comment.

Please report all potholes to the city website or 311. They may be slow, but they will never repair a pothole they don’t know about. I also vote for Forest Hill Avenue west from Chippenham to Sheila Lane. If the Oregon Trail had come through this area, we never would have settled the west. Those wagons couldn’t stand it.

Amblus with a 40 in the AM… did I see you at Valero on my way to work?

    Phil, don’t tell my husband.

Thanks for the shoutout! Looks like north side of the river is winning the pothole contest so far. Perhaps southside potholes are still hidden under snow?

According to media reports today, the City will pick up the tab for your damage under SOME circumstances, but they apparently won’t EASILY share to what extent they are doing this money-wise.

They probably don’t want to give pothole victims ideas.

Not H&H related, but I discovered today that 64 westbound is even more of a moonscape than before. This carpetbombing needs to stop!
