Southbank Street Report

Let’s work together to get the lowdown on street conditions. Chime in with the condition of your street or if you have driven somewhere how those streets are looking.

  • King William west of Westover Hills Blvd. – Icy, crunchy, not plowed or sanded since early Saturday
  • Peterborough north of Forest Hill Avenue – Icy, crunchy, not plowed or sanded since late afternoon Saturday
  • Forest Hill Avenue west of WH Blvd- close to clear, traffic moving at near full speed
  • Forest Hill Farms, the streets were plowed late yesterday (Friday) and again this afternoon (Saturday) via LauraL
  • Devonshire (not sure what block) plowed early Saturday morning via Dan
  • Lee Bridge was fine at 8am. Broad St also totally clear via Anne
  • W 26th St. in Woodland Heights plowed Saturday via Stuffa
  • 5100 block of Boscobel Ave plowed via Heather

Walked up to the CVS at forest hill and westover hills and those roads are just wet at this point. They have been much better plowed than last time. the north/south roads in our neighborhood are melting but the east west ones are a little tougher going especially for Front wheel drive vehicles. Everybody seems open too.

Looks like streets were salted in Woodland Heights early this evening. Walked the neighborhood and can report that no other streets have been plowed, but most look very drivable.
As a side note, W 29th St is probably the best alternate cut through: while it’s not plowed, it is nearly slope-free and presents less of a challenge for unsure drivers.

Did a tour around 7pm, street at random off River Side Drive.. many side streets look plowed and all were passable… caught up with a snow plow working Southcliff Rd off River Side Drive.

Resident sez that was the first he’s ever seen on this street.

Some great snow sculpture… really beautiful snow angel near Forest Hill Park, An Alien Cookbook take off from the Twilight Zone in Woodland Heights.
