Winter Gardening Workshop

Join CBF as we host a Winter Gardening Workshop with the Backyard Farmers!

Waiting for the frost to thaw and weather to warm up so you can get back out in the garden? Want to learn how to garden all winter long, start preparing and planning for the spring, and learn more about local community gardening?

Join us this winter season and you’ll learn about sprouting, salad flats, garden planning, and new community gardens popping up all over the city! You will also have the opportunity to participate in a sprouting demonstration and a session on garden planning held right in the community garden on site.

What: Winter Gardening Workshop with the Backyard Farmers
When: Saturday, January 23, 2010
10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Where: Sacred Heart Community Center, 1400 Perry Street (Southside, Manchester)

The workshop will be held at the Sacred Heart Community Center, a non-profit on the Southside whose mission is to help provide self-sufficient life skills to low-income families in the Richmond area, specifically in Southside.
