Car Break-in Forest Hill Neighborhood
From the Forest Hill Crime Watch and Lieutenant John A. O’Kleasky, Jr. of the Third District. Theft From Motor Vehicle: 517 W. 27th St.- Between 1730-0800 hrs., 12/07-08/2009, person(s) unknown entered the victim’s 2004 Honda minivan and removed a bag of toys, which were on the seat in plain view. The victim believes the vehicle was locked, however, there was no sign of forced entry.
We had a similar incident last night. This morning my husband found the glove compartment open but we haven’t been able to determine if anything was taken. My husband believes the car was locked. No sign of forced entry. We live on Stonewall.
A few weeks ago, our across the street neighbor had things taken from their truck which they were sure was locked. (items were in plain view). There was no sigh of a forced entry.
