Westover Hills Holiday Decoration Contest

Westover Hills loves to put on its finest as the winter holidays arrive. This year, WHNA will again sponsor a competition to recognize residents for their holiday décor. Awards will be given in the following categories:

• Day decorations. Judging will be done during the day, with one prize for “best door decoration” and one for “best overall exterior.” A new category this year for day judging is “best wreath.”
• Night decorations. Judging will be done after dark, with one prize for “best door decoration” and one for “best overall exterior.” A new category this year for night judging is “best tree.”
• Most creative. This category is designed to give judges some flexibility to give recognition to décor that is unusual or special in some way. Creative décor in both night and day categories will be recognized.

Judging will take place on Saturday, Dec. 19, and Sunday Dec. 20. All homes within the boundaries of Westover Hills will be viewed, so you don’t have to sign up to “enter.” Just decorate by December 19, and your home will be reviewed by the judges. A sign will be placed in the yards of winning homes, and winners will be recognized in the next issue of the Rag.
