December – Sector 312 Crime Report

The latest Crime Report has been released by Lieutenant John A. O’Kleasky, Jr. for Sector 312 and not much positive to report. Violent crime up 40% from last month and property crime up 3%. If we compare it to the previous year the numbers look a bit better with violent crime down 18% and property crime up 13%.Community Report Sector 312 -December_09

The jump in violent crime stems from an increase in armed robberies particularly 24 hour convenience stores. Can you spot the trend below?

The Fas-Mart seems to be popular with robbers in the area. A robbery of a Fas-mart in Henrico on Friday ended with the suspects deaths. [via]

A call from a local resident resulted in an arrest.
November 13, Officers Stacy Rogers and David Edwards received and anonymous tip from a citizen of an individual using drugs in Forest Hill Park off of 42nd St. The officers quickly located this individual in a parked car and were able to place him under arrest for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, he was also “banned” from the park.
