Some More Marathon Photos

David Hathcock submitted the pictures above.  If anyone grabbed some shots they want to up on the blog send them to me and I’ll add them into the slide show. David also had a few thoughts on the race. 

It’s the Richmond Marathon, officially, but it’s also the South of the James Marathon. With a major section of the marathon run from Huguenot Bridge,through neighborhoods and down Forest Hill Avenue and Semmes, the marathon is every year a big event south of the river.

It took more than cold and cloudy weather to keep crowds indoors for the running. Several hundred people cheered runners along the route, handed out juice and water and encouragement, listened to music, and had a great time.

By 11 am, DPW crews were already beginning the cleanup.
