Does anyone know if SOJ Market is canceled? Not sure how vendors will be able to get there, not to mention those of us who live north of the river. All roads to the market seem closed!

Good question Julie I have sent an email to Market Umbrella (who runs the show) with your question.

The Marathon Loop, I was thinking the only why to get out is Riverside to the Lee Bridge. To get in and out use the Nickel bridge, Powhite Pkway or Downtown Expy. Anything I’m missing, without driving across the course.

From mapquest, it doesn’t look like 195 lets you exit onto Lee Bridge or Boulevard Bridge to cross the river. Powhite exit to Forest Hill is closed for marathon. Am I missing something?

Hi Julie, I’m saying use the Nickel bridge to get on the North side of the river and then connect with the Powhite or Downtown Expy. I think the elite runners will be in the area starting around 9 am.

    Thanks Karl, that helps.

South of the James Market is NOT closed. Vendors have been briefed, and will come in before 7:30, or from Riverside or New Kent. Customers use New Kent or Riverside to the 42nd Strret Entrance.

I do know that if you’re looking for Blanchard’s Coffee at the SOJ market that they won’t be there, relocating to 5047 forest hill avenue in front of their shop to sell coffee. Nate’s Taco Truck has said on twitter that they’ll be at the market http://twitter.com/natestacotruck
