4th Annual Ruby’s Run Nov. 8th

Ruby’s Run is Sunday, November 8, 2009 – packet pickup 1:00 pm., Races start at 2:00 pm on the Carillon Grounds by Dogwood Dell in Byrd Park. The race is open to kids ages 4-10 age 11 and up welcome as volunteers.

Ruby’s Run is a fundraising event “by kids and for kids” in the Greater Richmond, VA area. All proceeds go to the Ruby Harvey Memorial Scholarship Fund for preschoolers in downtown Richmond.

For those that aren’t familiar with the Harvey family tragedy there is a Wikipedia entry.  Those that were in the neighborhood at the time will never forget.
