Ride For Jim Block Party Rocks Westover Hills

The sounds of bagpipes Saturday night perplexed some neighbors enough to go investigate, leading them to the second annual Ride for Jim Block Party on the 5000 block of Caledonia. Delicious barbecue was served up by the kind folks at Q Barbecue, and neighbors gathered to socialize in the rain-dampened streets while listening to a wide range of music from bluegrass to Caribbean.  Check out a slideshow by the Richmond Times-Dispatch. It was a great event benefiting the James D. Popp Student Cancer Research Fund at VCU Massey Cancer Center and it looks like it’s going to be an annual event!
