Theft from motor vehicle in Westover Hills

We’ve received a report of a theft from a motor vehicle from our neighborhood Crimewatch Captain. Please make it a habit to store easily portable items out of sight in your vehicles or take them inside.

The theft took place in the 5000 block of Devonshire Road. The incident occurred sometime between 11:00 p.m. Sunday night and 8:00 a.m. Monday morning.

A pickup’s passenger side window was smashed and a GPS unit was removed from the vehicle. The GPS unit was mounted to the windshield.

Please do not leave items of value such as GPS units, cell phones, etc. in your car. With the warm weather we are seeing a lot of foot traffic through the area. An item of value that can be observed by someone walking by puts your property at risk for theft.
