Good Shepherd Students Clean Up Park

The picture above is of the students (K-5) of the Good Shepherd School. While some classes spend their field day going to a water park or the zoo these students donated their field day to work at Forest Hill Park. The students spread mulch, picked up litter, and helped with a general spruce up of the park. From all the residents that use the park we would like to say, thank you.

Credit to all the good people at Good Shepherd, and also to Debra McClane of FFHP, Erin Ziegler in charge of the lake restoration who spoke to the kids and Linwood Sewell, park mantenance mgr.
The parents, students, teachers and aministration at Good Shepherd School are extemely grateful to Debra McClane of FFHP for creating such an organized clean- up opportunity and adding an interesting, relevant educational piece through herself, Erin Ziegler and Linwood Sewell about the park history, their jobs, and proper tree care and park maintenance. The park is used a lot by the school and families who attend- the children really enjoyed the meaningful experiences they had that morning. We are all part of a wonderful community! Thank you to all of the above mentioned. Laura, GSES parent
What a great bunch of kids–and fast workers! We could have used them on the lake restoration crew! Looking forward to working with Good Shepherd again–thank you for thinking of the park as a place to spend part of your field day. Come back to the park this summer!
