Missing Cat
Found this tonight but was posted on CraigsList Tuesday. There wasn’t an update so I assume she is is still missing.
Missing from Forrest Hill & 34 th Street on Mother’s Day.
Our beautiful cat, Nancy, has gone missing from w 34th street off of forrest hill.
We are sooo sooo sad. She is greyish brown (siamese coloring) and has bright blue eyes… she is also a bit of a butter ball. She is very sweet.

We’ll keep an eye out for Nancy. We are on 32nd just south of Forest Hill and our yard is kind of a hangout for neighborhood cats because we have a dogproof fence (and, well, okay, we’re soft touches and we feed whoever shows up).
While I have a public forum I would like to make a public plea for folks in the general area to consider keeping your cats indoors. We have lost two beautiful cats to dog attacks, as have neighbors to the south and east of us. Our current cat is indoor-only as a result. There is a constant problem with stray dogs in the neighborhood. They frequently roam in packs. Just FYI, if you do choose to let your cats out, the most dangerous time according to our vet is dawn…it is when the dog packs “hunt.” So consider bringing your cats in overnight.
Sorry to lower the tone, but maybe I can spare someone the experiences we’ve had.
There have been multiple cats attacked over the past two weeks by a pack of dogs roaming at large. My neighbor witnessed them attacking a racoon last week at 4:15 a.m.–3 dogs: 1 black, 1 black/white, 1 brown with long hair and weighing between 40-50 lbs. All attacks I know of have happened in the early hours of the morning between 3 and 5 a.m. If you see any dogs roaming at large, try to see if they have tags to id an owner and call animal control.
