Crime Alert for James River

A friend and neighbor reports yet another robbery in a parking lot by
the James River on Saturday night. Apparently there has been a rash
of thefts from cars parked while folks put canoes in, when the
thieves can be sure the owners won’t be back for awhile, so they can
take their time.

Keep an eye out for a gold dodge minivan, bearing (stolen) plates
CHBC1, if you see this car, or anyone sitting in a car in the parking
lot without getting out to walk dogs, unload a kayak, or other
purpose, please let the police know. They’ve have been watching out
for these guys, and would dearly love to catch them.
