Westover Hills Plant Swap set for May 2

Gardeners! Here’s your chance to trade plants with your neighbors. WHNA is sponsoring its first-ever “Plant Swap” on Saturday, May 2. Got a plant you’re taking out of your yard? Bring it to swap, and take home something new for your yard!The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. in front of the United Methodist Church on Westover Hills Boulevard. Just bring your labeled plants in disposable containers at 11:30 a.m. Register with the volunteers, and you will receive one token for each plant you bring, along with a number indicating your place in line.

The swap will start at noon. Beginning with the first number, each person will be given a chance to pick up to three plants at a time. Several “rounds” will be conducted for participants to select plants. Plants are purchased with one token or $1.

Rain Date: We’ll hold the Plant Swap on Sunday, May 3, if it’s rained out on Saturday.
