Politics at Positive Vibe

GOP gubernatorial nominee Bob McDonnell’s and Greg Scanlon, a 26-year-old Research Director for the Democratic Party of Virginia will soon be sitting down to dinner at Positive Vibe. The reason is not a clandestine sharing of sensitive politico insider information. There will not be envelopes of money exchanged. The reason for this meeting is the result of a bouncing ball.

Bob McDonnell hosts a NCAA bracket tournament. The winner could pick either a basketball game with McDonnell and his sons or dinner at the restaurant of the winners choice.  Scanlon is a UNC graduate and can thank his Tarheels for a free dinner.

When asked if it might be odd to sit across the table and share a meal with the man he spends his days trying to figure out ways to defeat, Scanlon said, “It won’t be awkward for me.”
