Both Northbound lanes of Semmes closed 3/30-31

An alert from the Department of Public Utilities:

RICHMOND, VA—Beginning Monday, March 30 through Tuesday, March 31, 2009 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. the City of Richmond Department of Public Utilities (DPU) will be closing Semmes Avenue between Forest Hill Avenue and 34^th Street for repair of a broken water main valve. 

Both northbound lanes of Semmes Avenue will be closed. Traffic closure will be clearly marked with signs and cones. Detour signs are also posted. Work will be completed on both days following morning rush hour traffic and before evening rush hour traffic. Work area in the street will be covered with large steel plates in-between construction work hours.
