Kickers Season Starts April 18th
I have a bit of an obsession with soccer and the long off season is coming to an end in our area on April 18th with a Richmond Kickers pre-season game. The regular season starts for the Kickers two weeks later against the Harrisburg City Islanders on Saturday, April 18th at 7:00 pm at the University of Richmond Stadium. The full announcement is on the Kickers website here. Full Schedule Here
If you haven’t been to a match at U of R stadium I recommend that you check it out. The Kickers have a long history of success. Last season they were prevented from making it to the final due to the Cleveland City Stars constant diving and bad acting.

C’mon, everybody knows you’re a DC United fan, Richard!
Caitlin, I would write about all that is going on with DCU; new stadium, Gomez back, Gallardo bye-bye, but there are only a few of us nuts willing to drive two hours for a game so I think intrest is somewhat limited. I would love to see the Kickers grow and maybe get a more diverse crowd so I’ll give them a shout out every now and then.

I went to Columbus last Wednesday for the US vs. Mexico game. That was a blast despite the weather. There is going to be a US qualifier at RFK in October against T&T.
