Oh, great, it goes right down my street. Why can’t those health nuts stop gumming up traffic and do what the rest of us do on saturday mornings: Go to brunch and drink mimosas!
What a great neighborhood event. Thanks! It was a lot of fun!
Caitlin, you could always sit on the curb eating donuts and drinking bloody marys to make the runners drool as they go by.
Whoa, Caitlin — it might be time to lay off the mimosas for a week. Alternatively, you could move out to Short Pump, where the only thing gumming up traffic is traffic heading out to brunch.
She saw all the children in the race and thought about how they’ll probably all go to Patrick Henry Charter School, which gums up this website, and it made her mimosa taste funny :)
I actually liked the route of the race. If my boys got too whiny and/or punch-y, I could just stop and go home. I already had my t-shirt, after all.
(by the way, I was being sarcastic! as was Caitlin! :)
Me three! Only not so much sarcastic as teasing Caitlin about PH.
Did they change the route?
What a great event for the neighborhood and for the park!! The organizers could not have done a better job–and way to go on the weather! Maybe next year the route can go around the newly restored lake…
I really enjoyed myself on the run – i was very talkative with neighbors until we hit the Riverside Drive hill
A wonderful event FHNA – I was glad to be part of it
dmcc… Great minds think alike. There’s already been talk about making next year’s course include more of FHP. Those hills will be fun, especially for me sitting on my porch with a mimosa. Always 5 o’clock somewhere, eh Caitlin? In all seriousness, this event surpassed all expectations. Thanks to all the organizers and participants!!!

Congrats to all who worked on making the 5K such a great event for the neighborhood! It was a great day to be outside and the turn out was fantastic. I am looking forward to making this a permanent event for FHNA. thanks again to all the participants and organizers – southside rocks!
