Blizzard 09 Update

The H&H Dopper40® was able to capture these stunning images of the Richmond February Blizzard of 2009. Metrologists around the world are calling the latest weather event to hit Richmond as almost consequential but in the end a big nothing.

Taken near Hugenot Ukrops. No food riots at the local store were reported at the time of this photo.

Snow landed on both the ground and the trees. Mice have reported snow waist high in some areas.

Brave drivers of crucial supplies managed fight the storms to ensure that Richmond will not be without it's baked goods this morning.

Folks can laugh about the local weather all they want, but first they need to check out the Snow Hornet nests down by the Forest Hill park lake.

As locals know, how high these creatures build their nest above mean ground level is a solid indicator of how much snow we can be expected to get each season, and this year they are a good 12 feet above MGL.

A good example can be found near the “Love House” down by the lake… third cattail from the left.
