Those are freakin’ great! One day when I have the time I would like to dig around the archives from around 1890-1915 and get a better feel for how the trolley suburbs rolled out.
If you click on the old photo of Semmes, you will get links to many more old Richmond photos. A lot of them are old Richmond advertising signs; one that I did not find was the gorgeous Climax Ginger Ale sign that was on Belle Isle, right beside the Lee Bridge. I hope some museum saved it when they took it down. It was incredible.
