1 (one) blog free to a good home

Housebroken (mostly), plays well with others, great with small children!

Seriously, my schedule no longer allows me the time to properly administer this thing, and merely farming off posting duties to others didn’t work out well. If you or anyone you know is interested in the long, tiring, thankless hours immense rewards that come with running such a site, let me know. I’m willing keep hosting it for the time being and let someone else run it 100% or turn the keys over completely.

I’m sorry but I already have a blog of my own to administer.

Can I run it from Iraq? I miss my home and the Dog Park. Will make being away from Richmond a little easier. Seriously, how much time we talking? I might have married someone who would be good at it!

Across the river, we need a blog for Byrd Park, Randolph and Maymont. However, I don’t think any one person wants to take it on themselves. And they shouldn’t have to if it’s going to be representative of the community. So, what’s the solution? A collective with publishing privileges? An open publishing format with a collective editing out stuff that isn’t appropriate? Is one blog – one person the only option?

a collective would be nice but it would have to be designed well to keep spammers at bay. maybe a craigslist type of board where suspect articles can be flagged? a registration process might also be necessary?

sometimes i wish i was more technologically inclined/motivated, but i can barely be budged to hit the shift key to capitalize!

Check out Greater Fulton News for a more open take. There is an administrator to keep everything running, but anyone in the community can register and post. There are 4 or 5 folks that contribute and the site is starting to gain traction.
