Gunfire @ Crossroads
A noon-ish robbery at Crossroads saw shots fired both inside and outside the store- all by the robber apparently. Fortunately, nobody was caught in the crossfire. The T-D says a suspect was picked up near George Wythe shortly thereafter. Hopefully losses and damages to Crossroads are minimal and business as usual resumes shortly.
What kind of idiot tries to commit an armed robbery in a busy coffee shop in a highly-visible area at lunchtime?

Props to two local mt. bikers who chased the sob and gave the police real-time location information via cell phone.
I am dumbfounded and not surprised at the same time. What a shame ,such a great place . I say lets just give them more business and defy the terrorists that want us to cower.
So glad Will, Olivia and the crew were all unhurt. Aside from being great folks, that business is a real asset to our neighborhood. Brilliant move, stick up a coffee shop, only fractionally lower odds than a doughnut shop to have a cop inside…
Jennifer- you said it. It takes an ‘idiot’ to do a robbery- period. In broad daylight? A BIGGER idiot. I am so very grateful that nobody was injured. I have been a customer (like many others) since day one. I love the place, the people and often call it my second home. God bless you Will and Olivia. We all send you good vibes :)

I have long been a capitol punishment opponent, but messing with Crossroads and Olivia may cause me to reconsider.
Just to be clear, I wasn’t involved but am aware of who chased him.
He is an idiot. He’d already forgotten about the Baskin-Robbins robbery.
