Cafe Closure
According to the T-D’s restaurant column, Miss Hathaway’s Cafe in Stratford Hills has closed. While I can’t say that I’m shocked, the closure is unfortunate, as they always could be counted on for good soups and sandwiches. Hopefully someone else will step in to fill that niche locally before too long.

What a shame. I always thought that location was a bad choice.
Maybe CVS will turn store into a drive up window.
The first time I went to Miss Hathaway’s was during one of our frequent power outages a couple of years ago. A great cafe! I will certainly miss it. I hope Laurie opens at a new location.
I’m very sorry to see it go. It was a nice, happy place to have lunch. I could always count on great quiche and soup. If reopening in another location were possible, the area near the intersection of Westover Hills Blvd. and Forest Hill Avenue might be a good option. Hope she can reopen, until then, it will be missed.
They should look into opening at the new shops on Forest Hill Avenue, where the CVS & McCroy’s used to be!!
