Some good news for George Wythe
After a series of fights and the sudden resignation of its principal, George Wythe has a small bit of good news coming its way. Doug Wilder is ending a freeze on $1.4 million in maintenance funds; roughly half of that would go towards a new ventilation system at Wythe. Additional funds would go towards accessible parking at Westover Hills Elementary.

It is really sad that the ones who suffer most in Wilder’s feud with the school system are the kids!
It is sad that the Kids are suffering, however the school board is just as at fault as Wilder IF NOT MORE.
Kids suffer because they are taught to the test and are repeatedly tested. They also suffer because of a school culture that protects the system instead of advocating for the students. I wish more School Board members had backbone. RPS administration downtown needs to spend time in classrooms instead of just looking at scores and stats on paper.
i am a student here at george wythe im a senior and yes we do need things to be fix in our school. People think that our school is bad i dont think its bad its just certain people in the school but hey like they say one apple spoiles the whole bunch. The media dosnt show how we been accredicted for four concsecutive years thanks to my class the great class of 2008
As I read the comments written by a senior at George Wythe, I am reminded of how bad the education system really is in Richmond. The young person above cannot even write.
Oh my. I hope the spelling and grammar in the above entry is only off because Calvon was in a hurry.
