We live on Dundee (across the street and a couple houses down from the shooting) and it's really not a "folks gettin' shot" kinda area. It's families and couples, mostly homeowners, but a few renters... I do have to say though, as a resident, that the police turnout was fantastic. We heard the shots and then in less than 3 minutes we heard the sirens. Within 15 minutes there were at least 20 cops on the scene and within an hour it was 3 times that, including a CSU truck, a fire truck, an ambulance and at least 15 plain-clothes detectives. It made us feel so much safer to know that the cops react that quickly and strongly to violence. Thank you City of Richmond Police Department! Thanks for noting that, John.
