A man was shot to death on Dundee Ave last night. The T-D has details on the suspect wanted in connection with the shooting.

I rode through there this morning, that particular area doesn’t really feel like a “folks gettin’ shot” kind of area.

Thanks for noting that, John. We live on Dundee (across the street and a couple houses down from the shooting) and it’s really not a “folks gettin’ shot” kinda area. It’s families and couples, mostly homeowners, but a few renters…

I do have to say though, as a resident, that the police turnout was fantastic. We heard the shots and then in less than 3 minutes we heard the sirens. Within 15 minutes there were at least 20 cops on the scene and within an hour it was 3 times that, including a CSU truck, a fire truck, an ambulance and at least 15 plain-clothes detectives. It made us feel so much safer to know that the cops react that quickly and strongly to violence.

Thank you City of Richmond Police Department!
