National Night Out
National Night Out is tomorrow night, August 7. I’ve heard via word of mouth that the Westover Hills Neighborhood will have a NNO event- if anyone has more specific details, we’ll gladly put them up. The same goes for any other southside neighborhoods holding NNO events.
(More events in comments)

There’s a poster up on W.H. Blvd with the details of the NNO goings-on, but I don’t remember what they are. Just south of the Nickel Bridge, the poster faces the bridge.
I know my neighborhood (Creekwood) is having a cookout for the national event.
Creekwood is around Rt 150 (Chippenham), Hull St Rd and Newbys Bridge Rd… not really close to Hills and Heights but not that far either.
Other events:
The Westover Community Center at 1301 Jahnke Rd will be hosting “Tune into Crime in your Neighborhood” featuring games and a showing of The Incredibles. Everything starts at 6PM.
Richmond Police’s Child ID Program will be fingerprinting children at Midlothian Village Apts.
come on down to the Westover Hills United Methodist Church on Tuesday, August 7, at 7 p.m. for some FREE ice cream! Chat with your neighbors, and pick up some information about crime prevention. Kids will also enjoy an up-close look at a fire truck. Our neighborhood event is sponsored by WHNA, the Westover Hills Merchants’ Association, and the church. Residents are asked to turn on your porch lights on August 7 to support National Night Out!
