we like the 42nd street entrance to the park. we go in there, and then head about a quarter mile up river. not crowded, and lots of rocks to play on. good swimming holes, too.
The Wetlands are also really nice. Flatwater with a little beach for easy access. Less crowded than some other JRPS locations.
We took one of ours down to the Wetlands on Sunday and it was nearly deserted. Great place!
I am new here……where are these “wetlands”?
Avery- The Wetlands can be found by turning off Forest Hill Ave onto Hathaway Rd (at the Stratford Hills Shopping Center) and following the signs.
