Door to door sketchiness
Two polo-shirted guys with clipboards knocked on our door at about 9:30PM last night, claiming to be from Apex something-or-other and asking if I was the homeowner. I was too busy trying to calm the 90-pound Lab their knocking disturbed to inquire more about who they were or what they wanted, but 9:30 seemed a bit late to be conducting legitimate business. After I shut the door, I noticed they went across the street onto a neighbor’s porch before getting back in their car and driving off.
So you may want to keep an eye open for anything odd or suspicious. They could have been 100% legit, but something just seemed off about the whole thing. If they knocked on your door, I’m curious to hear what their spiel might have been.

I had a guy come to my door yesterday as well – since it was still daylight, I was able to read his shirt. They’re some sort of Honeywell-associated security sales team. They’re very nice, but extremely persistent. I’ve had ADT people come by too, and they all look the same…white polos and shorts.
Yeah, these dudes came to our house too, but talked to Allen. He said the same thing, they said they’re selling Honeywell systems? Hopefully they aren’t trying to scope out our stuff, because they’ll be sadly disappointed. I put a sign under the doorbell that says “no solicitors” but Allen happened to be watering the garden when the guys stopped by. Surprisingly, the sign keeps even the Jehovah’s Witnesses at bay!
